Frequently Asked Questions
How much does countertop installation cost?
Countertop costs in Westchester typically range from $80 to $200+ per square foot installed, depending on the material (quartz, granite, marble, or quartzite), edge profile, and complexity of the layout. A typical kitchen island or perimeter runs $5,000–$15,000+.
What is the best countertop material for durability?
Quartz is highly recommended for families as it is non-porous, stain-resistant, and never needs sealing. Brands like Caesarstone, Silestone, and Cambria offer a 10-year or lifetime residential warranty. Natural stones like granite and quartzite offer unique beauty but require periodic sealing to maintain stain resistance.
How long does countertop installation take?
The process typically takes 2–3 weeks from design sign-off to installation. After your cabinets are set, we schedule an on-site template (laser-measured within 1mm accuracy). Fabrication in our partner shop takes 7–10 business days, followed by a one-day installation in most kitchens.
Can you match my existing countertop material?
We can usually source very close matches for common materials like Calacatta quartz or standard granite colors. For rare or discontinued slabs, we suggest visiting our stone yard partners in Westchester to select a slab in person. For bathrooms, we often fabricate a waterfall side panel or floating vanity shelf from the same slab.
Do you remove old countertops?
Yes. Countertop removal and disposal is included in our countertop replacement projects. We also assess the condition of your existing substrate and cabinets during demolition and advise on any necessary corrections before templating.
